Great trade in my opinion just based on the first round and Addison. Galchenyuk is kinda lost in space but Addison will likely be a fixture on the first pp unit down the road. Nothing like shaking a team up at a crucial time. Trade Dumba for a top six forward should be next.

I would be focused on trading spurgeon. He is playing decent hockey right now, but that contract is very scary considering it goes until he is 38 years old with a 7.575M AAV. Zuccerello would be a great contract to rid yourselves of too. Those guys are going to keep your team amongst the oldest in the league if you hold onto them through their decline.

Well, BG said if the Wild don't keep the jump in their step, more trades will come. They appeared to take that to heart at least last night against Vegas. They were flying all over the place. Haven't seen them skating so hard in quite a while. Even Galchenyuk appeared to have some speed in his skates.

I don't understand why Reaves was targeting Koivu last night though. I understand painting a bullseye on a top player and try to get them off their game, but it's not like Koivu has been a catalyst for the Wild this season. Just seemed kind of stupid to make him a target. All it did was fire up the Wild even more, though I don't think they even needed that after the trade comments by Guerin.

I know TweaterBen was happy with the trade of Zucker, making it look like the start of a rebuild for the Wild, but that trade just might be what wakes up the Wild to charge for a playoff spot. Then they are right back in the same spot they have been for the past 6-7 years....playoff bound, but no contenders.

Also, I agreed that if another trade needs to be done, that it should be Spurgeon that is moved. I've been saying that for the last 2-3 years now.
